Context:

The Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW) organised the 7th Anubhav Awards ceremony for the recognition of contributions made by Central Government employees in service.

 Details

  • A 55th Pre-Retirement Counseling Workshop was held on August 28, 2024, at Vigyan Bhawan New Delhi by the Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW).
  • The workshop was designed for Central Government employees retiring by March 31, 2025.
  • The 7th Anubhav Awards ceremony, also held on August 28, 2024, celebrated the contributions of Central Government employees during their service.

About Anubhav Awards

  • Anubhav Awards were introduced by the Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW) in 2016 to facilitate the sharing of experience gained during service while working under the Government.
  • It follows from the Anubhav portal that was launched in March 2015.
      • The portal is supposed to be used as an online space for retiring civil servants — so that they can archive all the key experiences and insights discovered during their work experience.
  • The main objective is to create a repository of knowledge that can influence future administrative reforms and enhance governance practices.
  • The Award includes a medal, a certificate, and a monetary incentive of Rs. 10,000.
