According to the rural development ministry, some states use ULPIN in the SVAMITVA (Survey of Villages Abadi and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas) portal.
The ministry stated that by April 18, 2023, the computerization of Records of Rights (RoRs) in 6,22,030 (94.62%) of the 6,57,403 villages had been completed.

ULPIN or Bhu-Aadhar

ULPIN or Bhu-Aadhar is a unique 14-digit alphanumeric code assigned to every land parcel in India.
It is similar to the Aadhaar number that identifies every citizen of the country.
It aims to create a digital database of land records and ownership details that can be accessed online by anyone.
The project was launched by the Ministry of Rural Development in 2020.

Objectives

Surveying and mapping land parcels using drones, satellites and other technologies, and linking them with the Aadhaar number of the owners.
