Context: The 14th National Voters' Day (NVD) was celebrated on January 25, 2024, with the theme 'Nothing Like Voting, I Vote For Sure,' emphasizing the significance and certainty of voter participation in the democratic process.

• The Election Commission of India celebrated the 14th National Voters' Day on January 25, 2024.
• The national function in New Delhi was attended by the Hon’ble President of India, with the Union Minister of State for Law and Justice (Independent Charge), as the Guest of Honour.
• Heads and representatives from Election Management bodies of countries such as Maldives, Philippines, Russia, Sri Lanka, and Uzbekistan also attended the event.
• The theme for NVD 2024 is ‘Nothing Like Voting, I Vote For Sure,’ continuing from the previous year.

Recognition of Outstanding Performance

• The President presented the Best Electoral Practices Awards for the year 2023 during the event.
• Awards are given to State and District level officers for outstanding performance in various aspects of election conduct, including IT initiatives, Security Management, Election Management, Accessible Election, Electoral Roll, and voter awareness.

ECI Publication and Commemorative Stamp

• The Chief Election Commissioner presented the first copy of the ECI Publication ‘ECI Initiatives for General Elections 2024’ to the Hon’ble President.
• A commemorative postage stamp themed "Inclusive Elections" was released to mark the 75th year of service of the Election Commission of India.
• An innovative multi-media campaign for Voter Education and Awareness for the forthcoming Parliamentary Elections 2024 was launched.
