Ruchira Kamboj has been appointed as the next Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations.
She is currently serving as the Indian ambassador to Bhutan.
The Ministry of External Affairs has announced that She will succeed T S Tirumurti as the next Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations.
She joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1987.
Earlier she was appointed as;
The Permanent Representative of India to UNESCO in Paris.
Indian High Commissioner in South Africa.
Counsellor at India’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations.
She dealt with various political issues, including UN Peacekeeping, UN Security Council Reform, the Middle East crisis etc.
