  • The Quality Council of India (QCI) is launching the QCI Surajya Recognition & Ranking Framework.

QCI Surajya Recognition & Ranking Framework

  • QCI Surajya Recognition & Ranking Framework is an initiative aimed at enhancing excellence across states to improve the quality of life for citizens and contribute to a Viksit Bharat. This framework is structured around four core pillars:
  1. Shiksha (Education),
  2. Swasthya (Health),
  3. Samriddhi (Prosperity), and
  4. Sushasan (Governance).
  • The Surajya Recognition celebrates states and organizations demonstrating outstanding performance and commitment to quality in these crucial areas.

Pillars of the Framework

Shiksha (Education)

  • The Shiksha pillar focuses on elevating the quality of education through robust accreditation and certification processes. It aims to ensure educational institutions meet high standards of excellence and deliver quality education.

Swasthya (Health)

  • The Swasthya pillar emphasizes the importance of superior healthcare services across the nation. It strives to uphold the highest standards of medical care in all regions, ensuring comprehensive and reliable healthcare services for every citizen.

Samriddhi (Prosperity)

  • The Samriddhi pillar aims to drive economic prosperity by ensuring quality assurance in manufacturing and industrial practices. This pillar focuses on enhancing industrial standards and boosting economic growth through quality-driven practices.

Sushasan (Governance)

  • The Sushasan pillar ensures transparent, accountable, and responsive governance. It aims to maintain the highest standards of quality in governance, promoting effective and efficient administration.

August 2024 Rankings Highlights

Shiksha

  • In the Shiksha rankings, Uttar Pradesh stands out with the highest number of accreditations, assessments, and ratings. Delhi also achieves a prominent position as a union territory.

Swasthya

  • For Swasthya, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Rajasthan, Mizoram, and Manipur have achieved complete certification in the Ayushman Arogya Yojana (NABH). Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra lead in the Medical Entry Level Testing Labs (MELT) rankings (NABL).
  • Among union territories, Chandigarh excels with 100% certification in Ayushman Arogya Yojana, while Jammu & Kashmir shows commendable performance with a 71.43% certification rate. Delhi, followed by Jammu & Kashmir, excels in MELT.

Samriddhi

  • In the Samriddhi category, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Rajasthan lead with the highest number of ZED certifications, especially in the Micro Jammu & Kashmir and Delhi have also achieved significant ZED certifications. Maharashtra and Bihar top the MSME Competitive LEAN Scheme rankings.

  • The states are the strengths of the nation, and their collective synergy is the driving force behind the creation of a Viksit Bharat.
  • Through the Surajya initiative, QCI aims to promote high standards and best practices in key sectors across India, paving the way for states to achieve and maintain the highest standards of excellence.
