Phangnon Konyak was among the four women Parliamentarians who were nominated by the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, M. Venkaiah Naidu, to the panel of Vice-Chairpersons for the Monsoon Session.
- The other three women were P.T. Usha, Sulata Deo and Fauzia Khan.
Konyak, who belongs to the Naga People's Front (NPF), expressed her gratitude to the Chairman and the members of the House for allowing her to chair the proceedings.
